Great Commission Fruit - questions

January 21, 2018, 11:00 AM

Group questions for "Great Commission Fruit," presented on 21 January 2018.

1.  What is your favorite mission story?  For fun tell a few stories that you witnessed or have read about.

2.  Pray now for the mission of the church and whatever else the group presents as requests.

3.  If you have not read Matthew 28:18-20 recently, read it aloud.  How about memorizing it?

4.  Where did Jesus intend for his disciples to go when he gave this command?

5.  In the sermon Mark said that within a few years of the resurrection there were Christians on at least three continents.  Which are the continents, or what are some cities in those continents.  For clues read the Book of Acts or look at a map.

6.  How do we know stategically where to go today?  Is there a particular place or group of people that God has been bringing to your attention?

7.  Define what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

8.  Briefly survey the end of each of the four gospels and Acts 1.  Pick out as many of the post-resurrection appearances as you can find.  Compare the commands of Jesus in those stories to Matthew 28:18-20.

9.  Name church activities and events coming up in the Spring and Summer.  Think about how they line up with our mission statement or not.  Pray.
