These questions and comments relate to the sermon on 12 March 2023, Be Good Citizens.  The primary scripture is 1 Peter 2:11-25.

1.  The letter turns to ethical application, and the various applications are based on our identity in Christ.  If you are not familiar, read chapter 1-2.

2.  What similarities and differences are there between the original audience of Peter's letter and Christian readers today?

3.  What do you think Peter knew about the Roman government of the day?

4.  In this section, what is the reason given for not sinning?  vv. 11-12

5.  Why should we submit to governement authority?  vv. 13-15
