Kiwi Update—Ten Dollars Well Spent
Greetings, Church.
We have been delighted to hear of rain back home and cooler weather, and we pray for more rain. It is ironic that we have rain nearly every day and long for some warm sunshine.
New Zealanders are happy and celebrating today, Labor Day, 24 October. The All Blacks won the Rugby World Cup yesterday. As some people here say, rugby is the national religion, and the All Blacks are world champions for the first time since 1987. The players are regarded as heros who have defended their homeland against 20 nations in six weeks. It is an appropriate day for a holiday.
We are looking forward to seeing you in December. Sarah may pass through Lawn earlier. Sandy has also changed her arrival time to 20 November so she can spend more time with her parents. Please pray for her father, Bob Edwards, who is convalescing in a hospital without a joint in his left knee. The doctors are trying to cure an infection so they can replace the artificial joint.
See you soon.
Mark, Sandy, Sarah and Jennifer
