I am excited to give everyone a quick update on our youth ministry. This semester, we have taken a journey through the book of Mark during our time together at Unveiled on Wednesday nights. And even though we are only about halfway through the book, our students are really enjoying the study. Some of our students have told me that they have never read through an entire book of the Bible before and that this study has really helped them form a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ. It has been a wonderful semester of watching our students study God’s Word together.
Please continue to pray with me for our youth ministry. God has spoken very clearly to me that our youth ministry needs to be centered in His Word because our culture will not stop saturating our students with the lies and temptations of this world. Our students (and ourselves!) cannot hear too much of God’s Word! I am not praying that our students would show changes of behavior- but that God would transform their hearts, so that their lives would reflect their personal faith in Jesus Christ from the inside out! And pray that together, our students would live their lives unveiled- so that the glory of Jesus Christ would be made known to their homes, schools, community, and the world! -2 Corinthians 3:18
I also would like everyone to know that a handful of our students were able to help unload the semi-trucks that were filled up during Mission Thanksgiving on Saturday, Nov. 19th. We had an awesome, and very exhausting, time working with Love & Care Ministries. I am very proud of our students’ work ethics and their hearts to serve the homeless and impoverished people in Abilene- especially since they had to wake up early on a Saturday morning!
Thank you church family for your love, support, and prayers for our youth ministry! Merry Christmas!
